      Melissa L. F. Knuckles, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi University for Women, Columbus, Mississippi, completed her medical training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky.  She received the Parish B. Cleveland Achievement Award.  During this time she also did interculated studies at the University of Edinburgh College of Medicine in Edinburg, Scotland and the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, Addenbrook's Hospital, Cambridge, England.

    Dr. Knuckles completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and a residency in Dermatology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky.  Her dermatology residency intercalated studies at St. John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin and Guy's Hospital, London, England.

   Dr. Knuckles is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.  Dr. Knuckles' clinical interests include psoriasis, general medicine, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.  Dr. Knuckles has lectured locally and nationally, published in dermatologic journals and a textbook, appeared on local news as a dermatology consultant, and quoted in multiple newspapers.

    Dr. Knuckles is a clinical investigator in numerous dermatologic drug studies. At this time, she is currently involved in several psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis clinical studies.  Psoriasis is a very physical and mental debilitating disease.   Dr. Knuckles is a very active in the fight against these diseases.
